Renowned Filipino Doctor to Speak on Epilepsy Forum

Dr. Elson So, Head of the Epilepsy Center in Mayo Clinic, USA and Vice President of the American Society of Epilepsy, will head a lay forum about epilepsy on Sept. 10, Tuesday, from 8:30am to 9:30am at the 8th Floor Conference Hall of Metro Davao Medical and Research Center Inc. (MDMRCI) Bldg. B.   This is a forum open to the public.  He will also be the guest speaker of “What’s New on Epilepsy?”, a forum open to all doctors and allied health professionals at 6:00pm to 7:00pm on the same date. Dr. So is a graduate of the University of Sto. Tomas in Manila, Philippines, whose certification includes the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology, American Board of Sleep Medicine, and American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. DOT intensifies Campaign for Chinese tourists to visit Davao

Trading and tourism are definitely over and above the present concerns, according to the national government. The Chinese authorities expect the number of Chinese outbound tourists to grow to 100 million by 2020. They spend some $45 billion to $50 billion on travel. This big market of tourists is what Davao tourism would like to target. Boracay, Cebu, Manila and Palawan are the destinations already introduced to the Chinese market, according to the Philippine Tourism Office in Beijing. Davao with its world class beach resorts, shopping places, cultural attractions and rich Chinese ties, is now the new foreign destination for the Chinese.
