The race is a 24-hour extreme adventure challenge from the heart of Sta. Cruz to the summit of Mount Apo via The Boulder Face through disciplines of mountain biking, trekking/bouldering, road running and water tubing.

Bearing the advocacy “Save & Protect Mt. Apo” the event is a highlight of the annual “Pista sa Kinaiyahan” or Feast of Mother Nature of Sta. Cruz, Davao Del Sur. With the participation of the foreign teams and the interest shown by other countries during the preparation of the race the activity has successfully positioned Davao Region as one of the top eco-adventure tourism destinations in this part of Asia. Thus, involvement of more foreign teams is expected by the organizers in next year’s challenge.

Team Carmen, Davao Del Norte was followed by Team Merrell 2 of Davao City winning Php100,000 cash prize. Team Amoss is 2nd Runner Up with Php75, 000, also from Davao City.

This event is spearheaded by the LGU Sta. Cruz, Davao Del Sur and is supported by the Provincial Government of Davao Del Sur, Department of Tourism XI, Department of Environment and Natural Resources XI and the Department of Trade and Industry, Davao Del Sur Provincial Office. This is in cooperation with San Miguel Brewery, Inc., Aboitiz Power, Primer Group of Companies, Columbia Sportswear Company, R.O.X., Mountain Hardwear, JohnGold Travel and Tours, Digilution and Genesis 88.
