Heneral Luna Special Advanced Screening in Key Regional Cities

Artikulo Uno Productions presents the much-awaited historical epic action Heneral Luna, directed by award-winning Jerrold Tarog. Set during the Philippine-American war, the film follows the life of one of Philippine history’s most brilliant military men, General Antonio Luna, as he tries to lead his countrymen against colonial masters new and old.

The cast is led by John Arcilla (Metro Manila, The Bourne Legacy), who memorably portrays the unsung Filipino hero. He is joined by some of the country’s renowned film, television and theatre actors: Joem Bascon, Archie Alemania, Paulo Avelino, Ketchup Eusebio, Epy Quizon, Mon Confiado, Nonie Buencamino, Art Acuña, Ronnie Lazaro Mylene Dizon, and Bing Pimentel.

Dakila, a collective for modern heroism, spreaheads this series along with regional partners including: the National Youth Commission, Film Development Council of the Philippines, JCI, UP Mindanao Department of Humanities, Cebu City Youth Movement, Young Heroes of Cebu, Xavier Center for Culture and the Arts, University of the Philippines Baguio, and University of Baguio.

Special Advance Screening for regional cities will be on the following dates:
July 24 – Davao City, FDCP Davao Cinematheque, 5PM-9PM
Keynote Speaker: Dr. Macario Tiu (Author of Davao: Reconstructing History from Text and Memory)

July 29 – Cebu City, Marcelo Fernan Press Center, 5PM-9PM
August 6 – Cagayan De Oro, Little Theater, Xavier University 4:30-8:30 PM

August 17 – Baguio City, FDCP Baguio Cinematheque, 5:00 – 9:00 PM

August 21 – Iloilo City, FDCP Iloilo Cinematheque, 2PM-6PM

She was one of the speakers in Photo World Asia 2017.  A web designer/blogger since the 90s, she has seen the evolution of the internet and social media transition from the perspective of a traditional media person.
